Thoughts that could get me into trouble

I'm thinking about starting another blog.

This one would be a specific blog, targetted at a specific audience.

Unfortunately, for various personal reasons I'll have to keep my identity a secret, so when I do this I won't announce it here or publish any links to it. I won't be slandering anybody or chatting about things that may interest Homeland Security--my reasons for remaining anonymous don't impact anybody but me.

So, why am I telling you? I don't know, to be honest.

I was going to spend this weekend working on the second episode of my proposed webseries, and maybe writing some music, but over the past couple of days my Internet connection has become so wobbly it's really distracting.

Fortunately my ISP seems to have figured out the issue I'm having involves their network, not something on my end--I called this morning and got a recording that there was an outage in this area and they were working on it. No shit, Sherlock.

Maybe they've fixed it already, maybe it'll go down again any second now. But I reckon they are finally working on it.

I hope you are planning to tune into tomorrow night's Two and a Half Men to catch Talyan's last appearance on the show this season. It promises to be a very special episode. Kathy Bates also guest stars.

So, let's hope that my connection is now stable, and that I can start this new blog without getting myself into hot water.

Laundry day randomocity

I just read over what I'd typed and deleted all of it--it bored me. I wouldn't want to inflict that on you, too.

It was about laundry and how much I'm digging my new washer and dryer. Which is fine, I reckon, but the subtext is I really need a girlfriend. Or something.

I'm finally starting to get ideas and inspiration for new musical projects. Maybe my muse has finally received my change of address request? Anyways, maybe in the next few days I can start working on some new tunes.

I've also been working on the webseries idea a bit, too. I haven't heard from the friend that I sent the pilot to yet but her life has been pretty crazy lately--she'll get to it eventually. In the mean time I'm developing the characters and the story arcs for the first season. It should be amusing, and different.

It's so weird for me to be living this close to Atlanta. I'll be channel-surfing and come across all these shows like Good Morning, Atlanta, and Atlanta, Today! and like that, and for a second I'm always puzzled as to why I'm seeing all these shows with 'Atlanta' in the title. Then I remember that the big city is just a few miles away.

Anyways, watch this space for any news regarding new projects--I should at least begin working on new lyrics very soon now!

An easy breezy Saturday morning randomocity

I'm really enjoying this new laptop.

It's blazing fast. I can feel the breeze from the Windows(r) when they open on this thing. It also has a webcam, something that would probably have totally freaked my old laptop out if I got one for it. I haven't used it yet, but hopefully the opportunity will arise soon.

I sent the script for the pilot episode of this webseries I've been talking about off to a friend of mine who may be interested in producing it. We'll see. Hopefully she'll get a chuckle or two from it, anyways.

Monday night on CBS be sure to watch Two and a Half Men--Talyan will be in this one. It's a big one for her, too--she's in it a lot. If you catch the promo on TV you'll probably see her.

I was up until around 3 a.m. last night, moving files from my old laptop to my new one. I got the Easy Transfer Cables, which made it much easier, but I still wanted to keep an eye on it until it was done. In my experience anytime I walk away from a computer that's running something the second my eyes leave the screen an error message or something pops up and it just sits there until I notice it and click "OK." So, if I, say, go to bed, then the computer will just sit here all night waiting for that click.

I started working out last week, too, a little. Mostly cardio, with some light weight-lifting. This apartment complex has a fitness center so I may as well use it. It's been a while since I've done any exercise but I used to be a body-builder--I think I can remember a lot of that stuff.

Plan for the weekend---gonna plot our the remainder of the season for the webseries, do a little housework, work out again, that sort of thing. Make tacos for lunch, too.

It's just more fun than any one person can stand!

Good Friday randomocity

Laundry today. First time I've used the laundrymat at the new place. Get this--they have coin operated machines! I haven't used a coin operated washer or dryer in decades.

The old place had cards you could load with money via a machine. The card also worked as a key so ideally only residents could use the laundry. Of course, the machine to put money on the cards was frequently broken, as was the lock on the door, so maybe coin operated is better. It did require me to get a couple rolls of quarters. The laundrymat is behind the gate, though, so the riff-raff should be kept away.

Sorry. I just realized I spent all that time talking about laundry.

I've finished the first draft of the pilot episode of my webseries. It's cute. I need to rewrite it four or five times to make it go from cute to funny. There is a difference, though frequently people seem to forget that.

I'm off today for the holiday, and I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off, to work on the webseries and to take care of little remaining move-related business. And maybe to check out the mall.

And I may look into buying my own, personal washer and dryer. You never know . . .
